Overnight, this most fabulous press release from Kate at The Harry Potter Alliance popped into my inbox:
Hey everyone, just wanted to give you a quick update:
- We are at $86,000 and counting.
- The deadline to donate and still be eligible to win one of our signature items is Saturday, Feb 6th.
- We have now raised enough to send two chartered planes full of supplies to Haiti
Our final goal for HHH is to reach $105,000. With that much, Partners In Health will be able to charter three planes with over 75,000 pounds of relief aid to Haiti.
PIH has also generously offered to name the three planes Harry, Ron, and Hermione and send us some pictures if we manage to reach that goal, which obviously we’re excited about. And even though its aimed at the Harry Potter fans, it never would have been possible without all of you.
We’re very hopeful that we can actually reach that goal. Fingers crossed
